“Better suited” | ExWHUEmployee | West Ham make call on midfielder

**Carlos Soler is set to return to PSG following his season long loan, it’s been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**

The Spain international arrived last summer as part of a significant squad overhaul to coincide with Julen Lopetegui taking over from David Moyes, however Lopetegui has of course since been dismissed, with it now appearing Soler will also be on his way.

Graham Potter is now at the helm and is set to lead another summer of change in east London, with his right-hand-man and now Head of Recruitment Kyle Macaulay expected to oversee another overhaul to align with the requirements of Potters era at West Ham.

Despite showing signs of star quality this season, it’s fair to suggest that Soler hasn’t lit up the Premier League, and its now been reported by our insider Ex that the club will not pursue a deal to make his move to the club a permanent one.

“Carlos Soler is set to return to PSG at the end of the season, with the club deciding against signing him,” stated Ex on [The West Ham Way Patreon.](http://thewesthamway.com/memberships)

“Potter feels that James Ward-Prowse is better suited and offers more, with him already making an impact despite only returning from his Nottingham Forest loan in January.

“Solers wages are also a big factor, so therefore he will be left to return to PSG with West Ham to look at alternative options this summer.”
