One of Laura Rutledge's most noticeable features is her long blonde hair. It has been a bit of a trademark for the NFL reporter as she styles it in all sorts of ways to match her day-to-day outfits.
Rutledge decided to change things up on Friday, though. The veteran sportscaster temporarily bid farewell to her long tresses in favor of what she's calling a "summer haircut."
Rutledge shared a photo of her all-new look on social media on Friday night, while also tagging her hairstylists in the post.
"Maybe a summer haircut will bring summer weather???" Rutledge wistfully wrote on Instagram.

Rutledge's new hairdo features a textured, shoulder-length bob with soft layers. It has been styled with loose waves, while the side part is able to complement the shape of her face.
As she said in her caption, Rutledge is hoping for a bit of a change amid the cold weather in Connecticut. Summer is still a few months away, though, which means that the 36-year-old mom-of-two will need to wait a bit before the weather clears up.
Rutledge should be able to debut her new hairdo on Monday's episode of "NFL Live" on ESPN, but she's treated her Instagram followers with a bit of a preview here before the big reveal.
