North London giants Tottenham Hotspur are yet to decide on Richarlison and his long-term future amid his links with Everton.
According to a report by Fabrizio Romano on Give Me Sport, Richarlison is the subject of interest from Everton. The Toffees are scouring the market for a productive attacker heading into the summer transfer window. So, the Tottenham forward has emerged as a target for the Merseyside outfit, although the Lilywhites are yet to finalise their decision on the Brazilian attacker’s long-term future.
Richarlison and his Tottenham troubles
Richarlison has struggled to make his mark since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Everton in a deal worth £60 million in July 2022. The South American attacker arrived at the North London club with a burgeoning reputation after his exploits with the Merseyside outfit. However, he has not reproduced those performances for Tottenham.
In addition, fitness issues and poor form have sent him tumbling in the pecking order, and regular game time has eluded him this term. The 27-year-old has managed only 545 minutes of action in 14 appearances across all competitions while chipping in with three goals and one assist.
So, it is hardly surprising that the Brazilian international faces an uncertain future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, the former Everton forward has no shortage of suitors pursuing his signature, with the Merseyside outfit among the prospective suitors vying for his signature heading into the summer transfer window.
Everton return on the cards?
Everton’s interest in Richarlison is understandable. The Toffees are scouring the market for a productive attacker heading into the summer transfer window amid uncertainties surrounding the long-term futures of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Jack Harrison. In addition, it is unclear if Jesper Lindstrom will complete a permanent move to Everton in the coming months.
So, the Merseyside outfit must dip into the market for offensive reinforcement in the summer transfer window, with the Tottenham forward emerging as a viable target. Recent reports have claimed that the Toffees have already approached Tottenham to enquire about the player’s situation. However, Fabrizio Romano has suggested the Lilywhites are yet to decide on his future.
Tottenham will unlikely recoup the £60 million they paid to sign Richarlison if they part ways with him in the summer transfer window. However, returning to Everton might ideal for the 27-year-old Brazilian international as he looks to resurrect his stuttering fortunes and become a regular for the Selecao heading into the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
