Arne Slot looks set to add new pieces to his Liverpool squad this summer.
The Dutch coach has surprised everyone at Anfield with how his first season has gone as the Merseyside club are currently on course to win a treble.
This is even more impressive given the fact that Federico Chiesa was the only Liverpool signing added to the Dutch coach’s squad ahead of the new season but in hindsight, that has worked out for the Premier League leaders.
With money to spend this summer, fans of the Merseyside club and Jamie Carragher would like to see a left-back brought to Anfield, while strikers such as Alexander Isak continue to be linked to Liverpool.
A winger was not tipped to be on the cards for the Reds this season, however, reports out of Germany state that Liverpool have made enquries into one of the best over the last decade.

Liverpool enquire about Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman
Kingsley Coman has been one of the best wingers in Europe over the last decade, which is evident in the clubs the French star has played for.
Liverpool have held a long-term interest in Coman but a move never materlised over the years as the 28-year-old opted to remain at Bayern Munich.
According to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, Coman is set to leave the German giants this summer with a transfer fee between £25m-£34m (€30m-€40m) said to be enough to secure a trasnfer.

Coman’s former coach at Bayern, Julian Nagelsmann, once told Kicker that the 28-year-old was one of the best wingers in Europe.
“King is one of the most important players for us,” Nagelsmann said in 2022. “He has the ability to solve every one-on-one situation on the pitch.
“King is one of the best players in Europe when it comes to wingers. He is also a brilliant character and an important part of the dressing room.”
Despite words such as this about Coman, the French star is a player Liverpool must avoid as the winger does not have history in his side.
The red flags of a Kingsley Coman move to Liverpool
The biggest worry regarding a transfer for Coman is the winger’s injury history. The French star has only missed three games for Bayern Munich this season, but that does not tell the whole story.
The 28-year-old missed 21 matches last season, while being absent for eight throughout the 2022/23 campaign. His career has also seen plenty of injuries scattered thoughout, which is an issue Liverpool will want to avoid.
There is also the player’s age as Coman turns 29 in June. This is a big factor in the Merseyside club’s recruitement process, therefore, a move for a player such as Southampton’s Tyler Dibling would be a better option for Liverpool.
In additon to this, Coman is not a regular starter at Bayern, with Michael Olise and Leroy Sane ahead of the French star in Vincent Kompany’s pecking order most weeks.
Overall, a move for the winger is a risky one from Liverpool’s point of view and although the Reds havemade enquiries, the Premier League leaders are very likely to go down a different path.
