Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has released a four-word statement following another disappointing draw in the Saudi Pro League on Friday night.
The former Manchester United striker was on the score-sheet in the first half before they were reduced to 10 men shortly after the break. Jhon Duran, who completed a move to Al-Awwal Park from Aston Villa in January, came on as a second half substitute with 20 minutes left to play, but was unable to make an impact.
Duran signed a long-term contract with Al-Nassr until 2030 earlier this year and had a promising start to life in the Saudi Pro League. He scored four goals in his first two league games for the club, but has failed to find the back of the net in their last four, sitting out one of those games due to a red card suspension.
This latest result for Al-Nassr keeps them fourth in the table and outside of a battle for the league title. They have finished second in the last two years following Ronaldo's high-profile arrival at the end of 2022, but have struggled to maintain consistent form this term.
Taking to social media after the 2-2 draw on Friday night, Ronaldo published a blunt four-word message. "We will keep fighting," he wrote on his Instagram story, accompanied by a graphic of the result.
Duran will hope to have a greater impact in the final months of the season, as Al-Nassr look to turn their campaign around. Earlier this month, they were held to a 0-0 draw by Esteghlal FC in the first leg of their round of 16 tie in the AFC Champions League.
It remains their final shot at silverware this season after they were knocked out of the King Cup of Champions back in October. Their second leg against Esteghlal will take place on Monday, with a place in the final eight up for grabs.
