Liverpool’s impressive run in Champions League continued midweek with a 1-0 win against Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite coming away with the victory, Arne Slot’s side will recognise that they were far from their best.
PSG were dominant throughout, with Alisson Becker having to save Liverpool on several occasions.
Alisson was lauded by Jamie Carragher following his display at the Parc des Princes and Reds supporters have also recently taken the chance to express their gratitude towards the Brazilian shot stopper.

Liverpool fans chant Alisson’s name prior to Southampton clash
The 32-year-old provided one of his best displays in a Liverpool shirt against PSG, with Alisson even being compared to Petr Cech post-match by Thierry Henry.
With this in mind, Reds supporters made sure to show their love for the Brazilian before Liverpool’s clash with Southampton.
After walking out of the tunnel to warm-up, Alisson was met by large applause from the Anfield crowd – which was described as a ‘massive cheer’ by @asim-lfc.

The goalkeeper would then be serenaded by even more applause just before kick-off, with his name ringing round the stadium in the opening stages against the Saints.
Alisson makes mistake vs Southampton
After his superhuman display midweek, no one would have expected the Brazilian to be at fault for Southampton’s goal.
Well that would surprisingly be the case at Anfield, as Will Smallbone gave the Saints a surprise lead just before half-time.
Speaking on Southampton’s opener, Chris Sutton claimed Alisson should have done better with the goal (via BBC Sport).
“I don’t think anyone saw that coming. Alisson having a word with the referee, he thought there was a foul.
“I think Alisson should come with his hands, but he comes with his foot.
“Will Smallbone with a brilliant finish, it’s a clever finish. He actually nutmegs Alisson.”
