Manchester City lost to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Saturday, but Rio Ferdinand was impressed with one player in particular.
It was yet another poor performance from Manchester City, as Pep Guardiola‘s side continue to be undermined by inconsistency in the Premier League.
There were some really poor performances from the City players against Forest, with the likes of Bernardo Silva failing to deliver when it mattered.
Man City just have no cutting edge right now.
The Cityzens toiled throughout the game but it was Forest who won it in the end with a moment of brilliance from Callum Hudson-Odoi.

When speaking on co-commentary duty for TNT Sports, Ferdinand absolutely raved about Doku:

“It’s his signature move isn’t it. He fakes to go left and then comes inside the pitch. You know what he’s going to do but he’s so sharp and so quick that it’s difficult to stop.”
Doku is undoubtedly extremely talented. However, his lack of end product is something that he really needs to work on.
The Belgian is very exciting to watch, but he definitely needs to do more if he is to succeed at Man City.

Despite Ferdinand’s praise, the 22-year-old has been nowhere near his best for City this season.
The Belgium international has failed to deliver consistently this season.
