Giants re-sign quarterback Tommy DeVito

The New York Giants today re-signed quarterback Tommy DeVito.

The 26-year-old New Jersey native originally joined the team as an undrafted rookie in 2023 and has started eight games, including six in his first season. Overall, DeVito has completed 145 of 222 pass attempts (65.3 completion percentage) with eight touchdowns to three interceptions in 12 games. He has also rushed 44 times for 227 yards (5.2 yards per attempt) with another score.

DeVito is 3-5 as a starter. He won three games in a row in 2023, when he became the first undrafted free agent rookie since 1970 to have three consecutive games with a passer rating higher than 100.

DeVito was set to be an exclusive rights free agent when the new league year begins at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, March 12.

The Giants got the ball rolling on Wednesday with the re-signing of long snapper Casey Kreiter, a two-time team captain who has played in every game in the last eight seasons (five with Giants). They also re-signed outside linebacker Tomon Fox, who was set to be an exclusive rights free agent.
