In the early hours of Saturday morning, reports emerged that Rice’s fellow pass-catching teammate, Xavier Worthy, is in the crosshairs of the legal system. Arrested Friday night, Worthy caught the attention of Texas law enforcement for an assault against a family member.
Kansas City Chiefs star rookie receiver Xavier Worthy made headlines for all the wrong reasons on Saturday morning. Worthy was arrested on Friday night and charged with “assault against a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation.” Williamson County Sheriff’s Office booked Worthy on Friday night.
Worthy’s arrest marks the second straight offseason a Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver had a run-in with the law. Worthy had a standout campaign last year as the 28th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft while performing his best during the postseason.
