If you like to follow our Leicester City fantasy updates, we have made them available here. We will follow a natural pattern on how we believe a football club at this level and potential would evolve.

Steve Cooper arrived and went bananas in the transfer market. The way he splashed the cash and build his squad would be far from what we believe was needed.

James McAtee and Jordan James would have been the two moves done. McAtee (22) would have been one addition we believe would have worked well. The England U.21 captain has had limited chances this season and would have been open for a move from Man City. Leicester would have been the perfect fit. McAtee can play in several attacking and midfield positions. Last summer his value was set to £20million. At the minute worth more. He was available and a player that would have been the type of target Leicester could have triggered.

The other addition would have been Jordan James. He left Birmingham to join Rennes for a fee of £4million. He is a Wales full international. He would have been at a low risk. He could have slotted into a number of different positions. The 20-year-old would have been ideal as a squad player. He was aiming for a permanent role. His form looks to be good in French football.

Both players have been linked with Leicester in the past and would have fitted the picture to join. This would have been our only signing in the summer. It would have allowed us to have a gap to fill and money available in January. This would help to sort out a situation if happening.

Looking in the back mirror is always easy. We have also balanced the squad out with departures. We would have seen only one major move out, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. That was of course one move happening that made it possible for Leicester to avoid sanctions. Bouba Soumare, would have been slotted in to fill the gap after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Transfers In: James McAtee, Jordan James, Transfers Out: Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Loans Out: Harry Souttar, Victor Kristiansen, Danny Ward

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Mads Hermansen, Jacub Stolarczyk, Daniel Iversen, Defenders: Luke Thomas, James Justin, Ricardo Pereira, Brandon Cover, Conor Coady, Ben Nelson, Jannik Vestergaard, Wout Faes, Midfield: Will Alves, Hamza Choudhury, Bouba Soumare, Wilfred Ndidi, Harry Winks, James McAtee, Jordan James, Forwards: Jamie Vardy, Tom Cannon, Kasey McAteer, Patson Daka, Abdul Fatawu, Stephy Mavididi

24 players in this squad. We believe this would have been at the same or even a better level. Players such as Jordan James, Ben Nelson, and Will Alves are alle under the age of 21. They would not have filled the full squad numbers.
