Mohamed Salah just keeps making history.
The Egyptian forward has been Liverpool’s talisman for years, delivering goals, assists, and moments of brilliance.
Every season, he sets new standards, proving why he is one of the greatest players in Premier League history.
Against Southampton, Salah delivered yet another world-class performance.
At first the game started off slow with Liverpool conceding just before half time, thanks to a goal from Will Smallbone.
Things changed in the second half after a great work from Luis Diaz on the flank set up Darwin Nunez for the leveler.
Salah then went on to seal the win with two penalties.
His brace not only helped Liverpool secure a crucial win but also pushed him further into the record books.
At this point, breaking records has become second nature to him.
But the numbers from this game show just how special this season has been.
The records broken by Mohamed Salah in Southampton clash
Salah is now the 5th all-time Premier League top scorer with 184 goals, tying Sergio Aguero and just three goals behind Andy Cole in third place.
He also became the joint-top foreign goal scorer in Premier League history, sharing the record with Agüero.
This season is officially his best in terms of goal contributions.
His 44 goal contributions (27 goals, 17 assists) surpass his previous best of 42 in 2017-18.
This also ties him with Thierry Henry (2002-03) and Erling Haaland (2022-23) for the most in a 20-team PL season.
Salah has now overtaken Luis Suarez’s record for most goal contributions in a single PL season for Liverpool (43 in 2013-14).
He is also closing in on the all-time PL record of 47, held by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.
At Anfield, Salah continues to dominate.
He now has 103 PL goals at a single stadium, ranking third behind Agurro and Henry.
And for Fantasy Premier League fans, he just set the record for the highest-scoring player in a single season (303 points, possibly 306).
Salah isn’t just a Liverpool legend – he’s one of the greatest the league has ever seen.
