Everton team news as two key men return and David Moyes gets extra boost

David Moyes has not needed to turn to the academy to fill his bench for the first time since he returned to Everton.

The Blues boss has welcomed club captain Seamus Coleman back to the matchday squad after a long lay-off with injury. His return - coupled with the comebacks late last month of Youssef Chermiti and Nathan Patterson - means the Blues boss can finally complete a Premier League squad with senior players.

Coleman’s return - albeit to the bench - comes with just one change made for the trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers - the return of Abdoulaye Doucoure.

The midfielder missed the draw at Brentford to be at the birth of his child. He rejoined the squad days later, joining the group out in Abu Dhabi for the warm weather camp held amid a 10 day break in fixtures.

The 32-year-old is back in the starting line-up at the expense of Carlos Alcaraz as Moyes attempts to make it eight consecutive Premier League games unbeaten in the late kick-off at Molineux.

Alcaraz, who impressed once again in Doucoure’s absence in west London, offers the option of flare from a bench that is bursting with experience. Michael Keane, Ashley Young are also there, along with Tim Iroegbunam and the two goalkeepers - Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic.
