President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has again insisted that Ukraine is “fully committed” to work with the US to end Russia’s war, ahead of peace talks to be held in Saudi Arabia next week.
Overnight, at least 21 people were killed and almost 50 were injured after Russia launched a missile attack against several regions in Ukraine – one hitting a residential building in the city of Dobropillia in the eastern Donetsk region – while another strike set off large fires in the Kharkiv region.
In the last week, President Donald Trump has cut off military aid to Ukraine and withdrawn intelligence sharing and satellite images that are of vital importance to its defences.
