There was a lot of anticipation surrounding the game between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna. Now, FC Barcelona has even released an [official statement](https://x.com/FCBarcelona/status/1898459368313532609) that has confirmed this update. According to the club’s statement, the game has been postponed due to the passing of first-team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia:
**“FC Barcelona is deeply saddened to announce the passing of first-team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia this evening. For this reason, the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed to a later date.”**
Moreover, the club has offered its condolences to the family of the individual who recently passed away as well:
**“The FC Barcelona Board of Directors and all staff extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”**
This will undoubtedly be a difficult moment for the doctor’s family, and our own thoughts and prayers are with him as well. Some things are simply beyond football and are much greater than it, and this is a tragedy that showcases that.
As for Barcelona, any game can be played on a later date but human life is the most important thing. It remains to be seen if the club decides to dedicate something to the doctor during their next outing, which is against SL Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
