Chelsea have set a firm price tag on their star midfielder ahead of summer window. The player is looked upon by Real Madrid who are said to be set for a midfield overhaul.
Real Madrid are planning to make some changes in their midfield department. They lost Toni Kross in summer 2024 and his absence has been felt on multiple occasions this season. In addition, Luka Modric can also depart after his contract expiration in summer.
Earlier, Los Blancos were said to part ways with Aurelien Tchouameni in the summer. Now, Fichajes have reported that there are doubts about the future of Eduardo Camavinga too. Hence, the departure of any Frenchman will require proper replacement instantly.
The report further adds that Madrid have three players on their radar for summer. First is Adam Wharton who plays for Crystal Palace. Second is Enzo Fernandez who plays for Chelsea. Lastly, the third is Joao Neves who plays for PSG.
Chelsea set price tag on Enzo Fernandez
The Blues will not want to lose player like Enzo Fernandez anytime soon. They want the Argentine very much and their priority will be to keep him. But if the player forces a move, the West London club are set to ask for as high as €80 million.
Chelsea currently have Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia as main midfielders. They do have Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall but he is very likely to leave the club in summer. In addition, Lavia has been highly injury probe. Hence, the Blues are keen to add another midfielder instead of selling their current ones.
Enzo Fernandez have been superb this season. He had a tough start to this season but has made an amazing comeback. He is playing a major role for Maresca and has registered 5 goals along with 8 assists in 32 games under him. The Argentine is still only 24 and is tied to Chelsea until 2032.
