How London club’s average Premier League attendances compare to their rivals

Four London clubs have to wait until Sunday and Monday before resuming their respective Premier League campaigns. Tottenham Hotspur host one of the season’s surprise packages as Bournemouth make the trip to North London looking to keep pace the rest of the sides chasing a place in the Champions League.

Chelsea will hope to keep the Cherries behind them in the race for the competition as they host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal are on the road at a struggling Manchester United as they look to do their job in keeping the title race alive by picking up three points.

On Monday night, West Ham United close out the latest round of action as they host Newcastle United at the London Stadium. There will be just one more round of Premier League action the following weekend as sides take to the field for the final time before the international break.

Premier League average attendances

West Ham come in second for average attendances this season, despite a less than thrilling performance on the pitch for the first chunk of the season. It is no surprise that Manchester United top the standings as they have the biggest stadium in Old Trafford. It is the only club stadium in England with a capacity of more than 70,000.

Tottenham Hotspur come third in the list. The club has been in their state of the art stadium since 2019. It has given their matchday revenue a huge boost with Spurs making around £6m per matchday, per the Athletic.

So far this season, Liverpool have a slightly better average attendance than Arsenal with the Reds averaging just over 60,300 supporters per game while the Gunners come in just below that number. Chelsea sit inside the top 10 while Fulham, Crystal Palace and Brentford all sit in the bottom four. Bournemouth sit bottom with their Vitality Stadium home seating just over 11,000 fans per match.
