Since acquiring the majority stake in Manchester United in 2005, co-owner of INEOS, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, and his company has had almost complete control over operations within the club.
This includes player recruitment, manager appointments, and the overall strategy implemented at Old Trafford.
One of their latest strategic decisions was to appoint Ruben Amorim as manager of the club with hopes that he would lead the Red Devils to Premier League victory for the first time in over 10 years.
The day before Amorim was set to begin managing at United, it was revealed that the club originally hoped for Roberto De Zerbi to assume the role, but that plan fell flat once De Zerbi angrily rejected the contract offered to him.
Goal has reported that, given the lack of success from second-choice Amorim’s plan to return the Premier League trophy to Old Trafford by 2028, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is considering scrapping the plan altogether.
This comes only 4 months after Amorim assumed control over the Red Devils, and so far his all-important Project 150 framework for Premier League triumph has left United at 14th in the table and struggling to climb higher.
Ruben Amorim has been in the Man United job five months, Mikel Arteta has gone almost five years without a trophy at Arsenal, who is under most pressure right now 🤔 https://t.co/PojzYtszjC

Manchester Evening News reported that “”Manchester United may need to abandon Project 150 after realising it could take Ruben Amorim years to build a team capable of winning the Premier League.”
To scrap Amorim’s plan for success so soon would only lead to more unrest within the club, but perhaps another fresh start is what is needed to secure the title for United once again.
However it remains to be seen if Sir Jim Ratcliffe will remain faithful to Amorim’s plan, or if the club’s performance so far will convince him otherwise.
