Wolves manager highlights the ‘problem’ they faced vs Everton, David Moyes will disagree

David Moyes won’t be best pleased with the performance against Wolves but will certainly take the point.

Everton are just making their way through games at the moment, as performances are beginning to dip slightly.

The 1-1 draw against Wolves now makes it three draws from the last four games, but Moyes will be pleased to see his side now looking nicely positioned in the Premier League.

Despite the positives that can be taken, Beto had a ‘nightmare’ for Everton as the striker’s form has returned back to the pre-Moyes era.

Obviously, this has only been Beto’s recent displays, but Moyes might begin to question this, and the Toffees manager might also question what Wolves manager Vitor Pereira said after the game.

Vitor Pereira highlights the ‘problem’ Wolves faced vs Everton

It seems like Moyes’ side can cause problems for anyone at the moment, and the Wolves boss has clearly spotted a specific area where the Toffees supposedly thrive.

Paul Merson backed Everton to beat Wolves, but it seemed like a performance which brought Evertonians back down to earth after a brilliant month under the Scotsman.

Speaking to TNT sports in his post-match interview, Pereira explained the ‘problem’ Moyes’ Everton caused Wolves which might not be completely accurate.

“They are physically strong, and to compete in this league, we need to compete against these kind of teams,” Periera said.

“Defending set-pieces is always a problem against them.”

Moyes, out of all people, might not entirely agree with the Portuguese’s statement after the game.

The game as a whole lacked real quality from both sides, as Marshall Munetsi and Jack Harrison’s goals weren’t exactly picture-esque finishes.

It’s a positive for Harrison, who has scored his first Everton goal this season, and his first in 24 league games.

Moyes will be thrilled for the winger but might raise his eyebrows at Pereira’s comment, as the Toffees looked anything but threatening from set-pieces.

This was exemplified after Moyes was seen fuming at Everton’s set-plays, and Charlie Adam’s position as set-piece coach could be under scrutiny.

Clear improvements are needed, but the Moyes regime continues, as losing seems like a myth around Everton at the moment.
