The Spanish Football Federation has issued an update on Barcelona’s match with Osasuna after the game was called off after the [death of team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/barcelona-la-liga/2025/3/8/24379615/barcelona-osasuna-la-liga-postponed-official).
Barcelona confirmed the game had been postponed before kick-off at Montjuic due to the tragic circumstances.
The RFEF offered the club condolences and went on to confirm a new date for the match needs to be found in the coming days.
“From the RFEF we share the pain of his club, family and friends in these difficult times and we convey our most sincere condolences,” read a statement.
“Regarding the determination of the new date on which the match should be held, both Clubs are granted, in coordination with the National Professional Football League, a period of five days to agree on a new date that allows its correct participation without detriment to the normal development of the competition.”
A busy fixture list means there aren’t too many dates available at the moment. The weekend of 26-27 April is free at the moment but won’t be if Barcelona beat Atletico to reach the Copa del Rey final.
The only other free date seems to be the week of May 19-25 as there is currently no midweek game scheduled before the final weekend of the season.
