Cardinals Urged to Trade for Falcons’ $50 Million Former All-Pro

The defensive tackle position appears to be a real priority for the Arizona Cardinals as we close in on NFL free agency for the 2025 offseason.

They have already met with one option in former Seahawks tackle DT Roy Robertson-Harris.

He could be a depth option for him if they reach a deal, but that still wouldn't address the need in their starting lineup.

There are numerous options out there for them to pursue this offseason to fill that need.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton thinks they should try to trade for Atlanta Falcons defensive lineman Grady Jarrett.

Milton Williams seems to be the option the Cardinals are really interested in to fill their defensive tackle need right now. A recent report said that they are "very much in on" Williams.

However, they are going to need a backup plan because they definitely aren't the only team that wants Williams.

Jarrett seems kind of unlikely to be that backup plan.

He will be 32 years old by the time the season starts and his cap hit doesn't really match up with his production.

He brings a nice blend of ability to defend against the run and pressure opposing QBs, but you could likely get similar production from a free agent like Jonathan Allen without having to trade anything.

It would be great to see the Cardinals really commit to upgrading their defense with a meaningful trade, but when it comes to defensive tackles they are probably better off sticking to free agency or the draft.
