PSG players rank Liverpool lower than one PL and Bundesliga club

PSG players have ranked Liverpool as a lower tier opposition than one Bundesliga club and another Premier League club, which are rivals of the Reds.

The Parisian outfit fell short 1-0 to Arne Slot’s team in the first leg of their Last UEFA Champions League 16 Tie on Wednesday, but they dominated the match entirely with the Reds’ scoring with their only shot on target in the 87th minute.

Alisson Becker was the saviour for the Merseyside team, as he made many impressive saves to keep his team in the game, before a late goal through substitute Harvey Elliott allowed LFC to take a slender one goal advantage back to the second leg at Anfield next week.

PSG players reveal Liverpool rank in their books

According to reports, the players of Paris Saint-Germain were stunned at the level of Liverpool after their loss to the Premier League team on Wednesday. They revealed two stronger and more complete teams in the Champions League this campaign.

PSG believe Bayern Munich [Bundesliga] and Arsenal [Premier League], whom they both clashed with in the league phase, are better all-round teams than the Reds.

Luis Enrique’s men suffered defeats to these two teams in the group phase, and have claimed they were far tougher opposition than LFC in the first leg.

AnythingLFC reports that according to L’Equipe, “PSG players feel that Arsenal and Bayern Munich, their opponents in the UEFA Champions League league phase, are stronger and more complete than Liverpool.”

It was clear that PSG were the dominant team in the first leg in Paris and it has been disclosed that the French club’s players are highly confident of making it to the quarter-finals after that match than before.

The Ligue 1 leaders were also accused Liverpool of time-wasting and trying to run down the clock. It is expected that the French giants will not be so dominant at Anfield in the second leg, as Liverpool would look to make the most of their precious one goal lead to book their spot in the next round of the competition.
