Tottenham are now going through their worst season in this past decade, as they now sit at 13th place as they struggle to find their good form. After they lost 1-0 to AZ Alkmaar in their last game it only showed how badly the team is performing as it had no urgency and failed to test the opposition goalkeeper. As if it wasn’t enough, striker Dominic Solanke got himself injured at the end of the dark night for Spurs. But, on the bright side, the club is reportedly taking measures of re-signing an ex-Tottenham player, who was also a target for West Ham, and we could expect a reunion.
Now for the Spurs, this season purely depends on their participation in the UEFA Europa League, and it puts enormous pressure on the manager only for a turn around of that first-leg deficit. But that does not stop the club from talking preparations for next season’s offseason transfer window. They are active in pursuing potential new full-backs, and most recently, the name of the Flamengo defender, Wesley Franca, emerged as an alternative to Pedro Porro, Destiny Udogie, and the highly in-form Djed Spence.
Tottenham make moves to re-sign West Ham target Dennis Cirkin
Dennis Cirkin is a known name to Tottenham fans. The academy graduate never made any first-team appearances for Spurs before leaving for Sunderland in 2021, where he has since excelled. Journalist Graeme Bailey has reported that Tottenham are now mulling over the possibility of bringing Cirkin back to bolster their left-back position.
The defender has become a key player for Regis Le Bris’ squad as they push for Premier League promotion. WhoScored ranks him among Sunderland’s top five performers in the Championship this season, drawing interest from top English clubs, including Spurs. Bailey reports that Tottenham have been working on re-signing Cirkin, but they face competition from several London rivals, including West Ham.
Journo Graeme Bailey speaking to Sunderland AFC News, let it know that the Lilywhites are looking further
“Keep a close eye on Cirkin,”
“I am told a lot of Premier League clubs have been doing work on him. Chelsea, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, West Ham, Everton and Leeds – he is an outstanding prospect.”

A return to his boyhood club would be a beneficial move for both parties. Tottenham would secure a versatile defender capable of covering both centrally and on the left flank, while Cirkin would have the opportunity to step up from the Championship and prove himself at the highest level.
