While Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes are all but over, the Gunners travel to Manchester United with the goal of at least keeping second place with Nottingham Forest hot on their heels after picking up a late win against Manchester City. In the Gunners’ 7-1 demolition of PSV in the Champions League, David Raya started in goal, with the usual back four of Jurrien Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
There were goals scorers throughout the team, from defenders Timber and Riccardo Calafiori, to the midfield with Martin Odegaard at the double and with Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard contributing up front.
Odegaard started with Thomas Partey and Declan Rice in midfield.
Meanwhile, Mikel Merino was again drafted in as a forward to great effect by Arteta, getting one goal and one assist.

Arsenal Recent Form and Tactics
Arsenal’s recent form in the Premier League is three wins, two draws and one loss. In Europe, they are flying, having scored 16 goals in the league stage and seven already in the knockouts.
At the pre-United press conference, Arteta confirmed the need for Arsenal to be more unpredictable and fluid in their attacking play: “We need to look at threats from all areas. We lost very important wingers that were providing a lot for us in that final third and we’re looking to explore other options as well.”
PSV are the second-best ranked team in the Eredivisie, yet the Gunners put seven goals past them. The fact that there were so many goal scorers and goal providers shows just how well Arsenal can play even with their best attacking players out injured.
The fact that Arsenal scored seven away from home puts them in good stead for their trip to Old Trafford. Their current record at United’s ground is two wins, four draws and four losses in their last 10 matches.
Arsenal vs Manchester United has always been a big game that fans look forward to. While both clubs will feel disappointed with their respective seasons, the Gunners still have a record to play for in this encounter. If they beat the Red Devils it will be the fifth win over United in a row in the Premier League, which no team has done before.

Arteta did not give any new updates on the current injury list and there are no new Arsenal injuries to report on.
Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all still recovering.
Myles Lewis-Skelly played vs PSV and has now served his suspension after his one-match ban.
