John Wenham thinks Tottenham player will accept move to Crystal Palace

Tottenham are planning to cash in on Yves Bissouma this summer amid interest from Crystal Palace

Tottenham Hotspur are considering listening to offers for one of the senior stars in the squad amidst his struggle for consistency this season. The player is Yves Bissouma.

Yves Bissouma has proven a hit-miss signing for Spurs since arriving from Brighton and Hove Albion back in 2022. The Mali international has struggled to maintain the standards and consistency levels at White Hart Lane—both on and off the pitch. And as he enters the final year of his ongoing deal, the club are exploring the possibility of cashing him in when the transfer window reopens.

Crystal Palace have reportedly shown an interest in the defensive midfielder, who has fallen down the pecking order this season following the emergence of young talent Lucas Bergvall. With Rodrigo Bentancur in talks over a new deal, there are high chances of the African becoming a fringe player during the final year of his contract at White Hart Lane.

Ange Postecoglou wants Yves Bissouma to take up Tottenham leadership role.

Yves Bissouma has failed to live up to the lofty expectations at Tottenham.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King thinks Tottenham would accept a £15m for the 28-year-old’s signature this summer. Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham agrees with King that an offer of £15m would be accepted by Ange Postecoglou’s club, and that Bissouma himself would be open to a switch across the capital.

“I’m sure Bissouma would be interested in joining Palace,” John Wenham exclusively told Tottenham News.

“It would allow him to stay in London and the Premier League. Therefore, if Adam Wharton does move on, we could maybe sell Bissouma to Palace for about £15million.

“I’m sure if he was available at that kind of price, a club like Palace would take a chance on Bissouma because he is an experienced Premier League midfielder.

“He spent four years at Brighton before joining Tottenham, so he has lots of experience. However, he just isn’t good enough to play for Tottenham moving forward.”

Tottenham considering making an approach to Lamine Camara

Bissouma has barely played in recent weeks, with Postecoglou preferring Bentancur, Bergvall and Pape Matar Sarr ahead of him in the middle of the park. It is a clear indication that when Postecoglou has a fully fit squad, the Mali international will find it difficult to get game time at Tottenham.

The Lilywhites are also interested in signing AS Monaco midfielder Lamine Camara, who is a blossoming talent with bags of potential. If Spurs sign Camara, there wouldn’t be any better signal for Bissouma that he is not wanted at the club anymore. Thus, from Bissouma’s perspective, a move to Crystal Palace would make sense for him.

If Spurs receive £15million for the Eagles, they must accept it without any second thoughts.
