Bellingham, 19, has been a key player for the Black Cats over recent times and is being tipped for a bright future in the game. He has made 32 appearances in all competitions so far this season, all of which have come in the league, and he has chipped in with four goals.
In this latest update regarding his situation at the Stadium of Light by journalist Nixon on Patreon, Chelsea are ‘lining’ up a move for him ahead of the next transfer window. Bayer Leverkusen and Borrusia Dortmund have also been credited with an interest, whilst Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are said to have looked at him in the past.

Sunderland won’t want to lose Bellingham later this year.
However, if they fail to go up, it will prove even harder to retain his services.

Bellingham rose up the academy ranks at Birmingham City and was a regular for the Midlands outfit at various different youth levels.
He went on to play 26 matches for the Blues’ first-team before Sunderland came calling in 2022.
The Stourbridge-born man has since made 79 outings altogether for the Black Cats and has found the net on 11 occasions.

His deal in the North East was extended last summer until 2028 so his current club are under no pressure to sell him anytime soon and can wait for the right price tag.
After penning his extension, he told the club website: “I’m buzzing to sign this contract and extend my stay at Sunderland. I feel like I have a lot of unfinished business and I believe we can achieve some great things this season. This is such an amazing city and I’m so proud to represent the people within it.”
Time will tell whether Chelsea end up lodging an approach for Bellingham.
Sunderland beat Cardiff City 2-1 this weekend and play Preston North End next.
