Barcelona willing to spend up to €100m for two offensive reinforcements — Report

After not having brought any new players in the last winter transfer window, FC Barcelona will be looking to significantly strengthen their squad in the upcoming summer, and attack is one of the areas that the Blaugranes will be looking to bolster before the start of the next season.

For this purpose, the Catalan side has already been linked with several prominent names from across Europe, including the likes of Rafael Leao, Luis Diaz, and Alexander Isak.

Now, Fichajes reports that there are two more players that Barcelona have their eyes on to bring more depth and quality to their attacking line-up. These players are Ademola Lookman and Samu Aghehowa, and the Blaugranes are willing to shell out up to €100 million in total for these two targets.

The Nigerian winger could be brought to occupy the left wing, as he has been playing at a very high level for the Serie A side Atalanta. The 27-year-old forward has particularly impressed with his speed, dribbling on the wings, and his eye for goal. His ability to play on both wings makes him a particularly attractive target for the Catalans.

Although an important player for them, as per the report, Atalanta can negotiate his departure for around €40 million. Barcelona believe such an investment in a player of Lookman’s quality is viable, while the player himself has already shown an interest in a change of scenery.

Meanwhile, Samu Aghehowa, has been one of the young stand-out stars in Porto and the Blaugranes are looking to bring him into their team as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. His great potential, physical strength, mobility, and goalscoring make him an attractive target for the Catalans.

However, according to the report, his price tag is expected to lie around €50-60 million, and for now, Joan Laporta and Deco are working on a financial plan that can make these moves a reality.
