Nottingham Forest defeated Manchester City 1-0 at the City Ground to preserve their place in the top four of the Premier League.
The Reds needed a big performance after going three games without a victory in the top-flight following defeats to Newcastle and Fulham and a draw with Arsenal.
Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the only goal of the game with seven minutes remaining to leave Pep Guardiola to stew over a first defeat over Forest as a manager.
Forest deserved their victory though. The Reds fought tooth and nail to claim three large points and maintain a four point advantage over their opponents from yesterday.

Callum Hudson-Odoi raves about Manchester City star
It could have been an even better afternoon for Hudson-Odoi were it not for Ederson between the posts for Manchester City.
With 20 minutes remaining he cut inside and unleashed a trademark effort that looked destined for the bottom corner of the net, with Ederson making an outrageous save.
Hudson-Odoi admitted afterwards that he couldn’t believe what he’d seen and conceded he was stunned by the £35m City star.
He told BBC Radio Nottingham: “It was an amazing save, I don’t know how he’s saved it, it was a great save by him, I’ve not seen it yet, but yes it was a great save.”

This was a performance for the ages. Hudson-Odoi is very much the epitome of what playing for Forest should be about and he looked bang up for the game against City.
His goal was a bit fortunate. Ederson made a brilliant save to deny him earlier in the clash but he won’t have wanted to see the one he actually conceded many more times.

He perhaps should have saved the effort from Hudson-Odoi but Forest fans won’t mind one bit that it somehow managed to squirm beyond him and into the net.
Hudson-Odoi will surely be waiting by his phone for a call from Thomas Tuchel in the coming weeks and a return to the England squad now looks like a real possibility.
