Man Utd youngster sends seven-word message after ‘devastating’ injury confirms ten-week absence

The injury bug at Manchester United doesn’t seem to have gone away with Erik ten Hag, with Ruben Amorim also dealing with massive issues.

From Luke Shaw and Mason Mount being perennial physio room regulars to Amad’s season-ending injury and Kobbie Mainoo’s stop-start season, it’s been doom and gloom on the injury front.

Add to that niggling issues for the likes of Manuel Ugarte, Harry Maguire, and more which have seem them miss games here and there, and the whole season has been a disaster.

The bug seems to have caught up to the academy team as well, as United’s 18-year-old prodigy has sent a seven-word message after suffering an injury that sees him miss the next ten weeks.

Man Utd youngster ‘devastated’ at injury

Manchester United’s academy scene at present is arguably the brightest it’s ever been in the 21st century, such is the quality of talent in all age groups.

That has raised the bar for every player, which is why setbacks like injuries are the worst possible thing to happen to youngsters since another one is ready in line to take their place.

That must be what Finley McAllister is feeling, as the youngster recently shared news that he has picked up an injury that will see him sidelined for the next ten weeks.

McAllister has long been one of the leaders in the academy group, called up to first-team training before and was getting in his rhythm before picking up the injury at the end of February.

He said at the time: “Devastated to announce that I’ll be missing the next 10 weeks of the season due to a hamstring injury that occurred unfortunately on Tuesday night. Another set back that I’m ready to face and overcome as I have done before in this industry full of ups and downs .I’ll be back.”

Finley McAllister sends seven-word message

Now focusing on rest and recuperation, McAllister sent a seven-word message on his Instagram stories, determined to come back better and stronger than ever.

McAllister wrote: “Tough times don’t last, tough people do”, with a flexing and a heart emoji, showcasing his elite mentality.

McAllister has been somewhat injury-prone despite being extremely talented as a fleet-footed defensive midfielder, a profile fit for Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1.

He will hope to shake off his recent setback and ensure the worst is behind him as he starts the process of recovery once again.
