BEIJING/HONG KONG -- Chinese officials on Sunday pledged to boost spending to support entrepreneurship and help workers adapt to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, acknowledging the challenges of creating new jobs amid slowing economic growth.
"The task of stabilizing and expanding employment is heavy and arduous," Wang Xiaoping, minister of human resources and social security, told reporters on the sidelines of the Two Sessions -- the National People's Congress (NPC) and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) -- in Beijing.
