Andy Robertson has warned Liverpool must improve against Paris Saint-Germain or they risk being dumped out of Europe.
But the Reds left-back believes Anfield can be the difference ahead of the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie. Liverpool have a 1-0 lead heading into Tuesday night thanks to a Harvey Elliott winner in Paris.
But it came after keeper Alisson was forced to make nine big saves as PSG dominated Arne Slot ’s side. And on the back of Arne Slot they will need to show seven times more intensity than they showed against Southampton, Robertson accepted his side will have to improve.
He said: “It's going to be a tough game. They showed how good they can be, an exceptional team – probably the best we have played this season.

“We have got the lead, which is important, but we can obviously play better than we did on Wednesday, that's clear and we will have to play better as we can't rely on Alisson playing the game of his life every game.
“We have to be better, we have to be better without the ball and if we do that hopefully the crowd can be behind us as we know what they can be like on Champions League nights. “The aim is to get through but we have to play a lot better than we did in the first half today and the whole 90 minutes over there.”
But under the lights at Anfield and with a lead, Robertson is confident the crowd will make it difficult for PSG as well. He added: “Of course, the stadium made a difference on Wednesday as their players reacted off their fans.
“More often than not on Champions League nights our players do that and we don't need to ask our fans to be at their best, it's a given and it's up to us to react off that and perform because it's not easy to get into the Champions League quarter-finals.”

Liverpool continued their procession to the Premier League title on Saturday, but had to come from behind to beat bottom club Southampton at Anfield. The Saints took the lead after an uncharacteristic defensive error, before a pair of Mohamed Salah's penalties and a Darwin Nunez goal put the Reds 16 points clear of Arsenal.
But Slot warned his players they will need to show a lot more if they are to continue their quest for a seventh European title. He said: “I think it was maybe the first time this season that I saw this tempo. I think PSG showed the right example. They played Lille in incredible intensity, 4-0 up at half-time.
“So when I look at the game against Paris Saint-Germain, we have to go one step up in terms of intensity. And if I compare it with the game today, we have to go three, four, five, six, seven steps up in terms of the intensity if we want to have any chance of reaching the next round.”
