Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite has been one of the club’s top performers since breaking into the first team at the beginning of last season.
The 22-year-old, who made his England debut against Bosnia and Herzegovina last June, has made 65 appearances for the Merseyside giants over the past couple of campaigns.
Football Insider revealed on 4 March Everton will “do everything” to keep Branthwaite at the club with a new deal.
David Moyes’s side are planning contract talks with the centre-back as they attempt to tie him down to an improved, long-term deal.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid are among the sides keen on Branthwaite, whose current deal is up in June 2027.
Finance expert Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the defender could become Everton‘s highest-paid player if he agrees new terms.

Everton could agree ‘£70m’ Jarrad Branthwaite deal
Borson revealed Branthwaite could now be worth up to £70million and would likely demand a £150,000-a-week deal to remain at Everton.
He told Football Insider: “I would think he would become the highest-paid player.
“His market value must be sort of £60-70million now after this season.
“I think it was harder before to get that sort of price because they were in quite a lot of distress themselves, so they were not in a great negotiating position, and he also hadn’t played that much.
“I think now he’s in a better position to get a £60-70million transfer fee.
“The flip side of that is he says ‘I’ll sign, but clearly I want to be well remunerated because if I did move to Chelsea, City or Arsenal for £60-70million, I’d be on £150,000 a week, so I want that here if I’m going to stay’.
“I think that’ll be in the mix, otherwise, he’s going to think about leaving.”

Everton to enter ‘major battle’ to sign Luis Henrique
Football Insider revealed on 28 February Everton aren’t expected to sign Jack Harrison on a permanent deal after his loan expires.
The 28-year-old has been on loan at Goodison Park from Leeds United since the summer of 2023.
The winger has registered just one goal in 28 appearances this season, with the Merseysiders exploring the market for other targets as they look to add to their attacking options.
Football Insider revealed on 2 March Everton are keen on Marseille winger Luis Henrique and will enter a “major battle” for his signature this summer.
