It's fair to say that Manchester United are no longer the force they once were. When Sir Alex Ferguson departed in 2013, he had led them to a record 13 Premier League titles. Now over a decade since, they have not won the competition since.
Every year, the club seems to reach a new low and they currently sit 15th in the league under manager Ruben Amorim. That said, they still have some quality footballers among their ranks.
Arguably, the best player in the team at the moment is Bruno Fernandes. The club captain is a regular source of goals from midfield, when so often they lack in attack, and shows his personality on the pitch no matter the circumstances.
That said, iconic Premier League manager Harry Redknapp still believes he wouldn't get regular game time if he played under Sir Alex.
Harry Redknapp: Bruno Fernandes Wouldn't Play Under Sir Alex
"He wouldn’t have a prayer of making the team"
Writing in his column for the Sun, Redknapp was actually full of praise for Fernandes. He claimed he is 'the closest' thing they have to a superstar but still maintained that he would not have been good enough to get in the team's off the past ahead of club legends like Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Beckham, Roy Keane, Paul Ince and more:
"I like manager Ruben Amorim but it will take years to turn them [Man Utd] around... if it can be done at all. It has become a great club in name only. You’d look at the United of Fergie’s day and see superstars everywhere. Amorim would love just one.
"Bruno Fernandes is the closest and even then no more than a place in the squad. He wouldn’t have a prayer of making the team. Who would you drop? Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Roy Keane, Paul Ince, even Nicky Butt or Darren Fletcher? Not a chance.
"If Teddy Sheringham and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer struggled to get a game, Fernandes wouldn’t get beyond putting the cones down and handing out bibs. And I tell you what — if Bruno and Co had been at United when I was managing, I’d know all about winning at Old Trafford."

Fernandes currently has 90 goals for the club, ranking him 20th on the all-time top scorers list for Man Utd. He also has won two major honours – the FA Cup and League Cup – so there can be no doubting his quality.
As Redknapp points out, though, under Ferguson the team was spoilt for brilliant options in midfield and attack. With that in mind, it's hard to know for certain how many chances he would get in the team.
