Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James had a rather bad day on Saturday. Not only did the Purple and Gold lose in their rivalry game against the Boston Celtics, but the superstar forward also suffered an injury late in the contest.
James was forced to exit midway through the fourth quarter due to a groin injury and missed the remainder of the game as a result. In the wake of the showdown, reports stated that there are fears he could miss "weeks" because of the issue.
Prior to the talks about his injury, however, James also went viral for the wrong reasons. Early in the final quarter, he tried to sell a foul by flopping.
While it seemed Jayson Tatum elbowed him in the chin area, James' reaction was a bit late, prompting fans to call him out for the rather disappointing behavior. It's not the first time in his career that James has flopped to sell a foul, and after he tried it again, viewers were quick to criticize him.

"LeFlop is pathetic," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "He's an absolute disgrace!!!"
"If the @NBA had any integrity whatsoever (it doesn't) then LeBron James would be fined and suspended for this ridiculous flop. American basketball is turning into Italian soccer," a viewer added.
"Best actor in LA: LeBron James," a social media user shared. A fifth poster echoed the same sentiment, saying, "Best actor nice move King of Flop LeBron James."
"Pathetic," a critic stated.
The NBA has a flopping rule, so it remains to be seen if LeBron James will be punished for his actions. More recently, Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell was hit with a $2,000 postgame flopping fine after a game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
