Leicester City head into half-time against Chelsea with the score at 0-0 in what has been an impressive display from the Foxes.
Both sides have had chances to break the deadline with the Blues having the best of the lot as Cole Palmer’s 20th-minute penalty was saved by Mads Hermansen, with Leicester ending the half in a strong position.
With Conor Coady brought back into Leicester’s starting XI with Ruud van Nistelrooy also changing shape to a back-three, things are looking promising for the Foxes in west London, who will be confident about their chances in the second-half.
Yet for Premier League pundit Don Hutchinson, there was one moment from a Leicester player that the former Scotland international couldn’t believe.

Victor Kristiansen slated after conceding a penalty vs Chelsea
Speaking on Premier League Productions, the former Sheffield United and Everton star was critical of Victor Kristiansen after the Leicester defender conceded a penalty for a rash challenge on Chelsea’s Jadon Sancho.
Hutchinson said about the 22-year-old Danish defender’s foul: “What a crazy tackle. You’ve got Jadon Sancho going away from goal, just stay on your feet. Penalty all day long. You cannot make any sort of tackle to risk giving a penalty away – crazy defending.”
With Leicester fans critical of Kristiansen’s performances this season, the 2023 signing from FC Copenhagen has done little today to win the trust of supporters in what is a must-win game for the Foxes.
And had it not been for Hermansen’s save against Palmer, Kristiansen’s display would have come under even more scrutiny, with the defender’s first-half stats making up for some poor reading for Leicester fans.

Victor Kristiansen’s first-half for Leicester one to forget
Kristiansen’s is up in the air with the Danish defender simply not performing for Leicester this season despite being given plenty of chances by both Steve Cooper and now Van Nistelrooy.
Victor Kristiansen’s stats vs Chelsea
Penalties conceded 1
Accurate crosses 0/2 (0%)
Defensive actions 2
Duels lost 1/2 (50%)
Fouls committed 1
And based on the defender’s stats in the opening half, Kristiansen will want to quickly forget about how he performed against Chelsea, with the 22-year-old’s flaws once again a glaring issue for Leicester’s backline.
Indeed, Leicester have a big decision to make on Kristiansen at the end of this season, and the versatile defender has not won himself any favours after conceding a penalty and once again looking out of his depth against a top Premier League side in Chelsea.
