Ipswich Town Women returned to winning ways after beating AFC Wimbledon Women 3-0 at Plough Lane this afternoon thanks to goals from centre-back duo Megan Wearing and Grace Garrad.
The first chance of the game fell to The Dons in the 17th minute, as Rosie Russell met a cross-field ball to strike towards goal but Town keeper Natalia Negri pulled off a great stop to keep the score at 0-0.
In the 25th minute, Town came close to breaking the deadlock as Wearing was at the end of a corner from Lucy O'Brien, but the defender's header hit the post before rolling wide of the post.
