Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane speaking
Roy Keane has expressed concern over what the future could hold for Manchester United and Ruben Amorim
Roy Keane fears that Manchester United's plight could yet get worse after expressing concerns over the impact Ruben Amorim has made since joining the club.
United swooped for Amorim after parting company with Erik ten Hag in October following a poor start to the season. The former Sporting Lisbon chief has struggled for consistency, though, winning just five of his 16 games in the Premier League.
In turn, United head into the final months of the campaign languishing in 15th place and look highly unlikely to qualify for Europe next term.
Amorim's failure to get Manchester United higher in the league over the last four months has led some to question the Portuguese coach. And Keane admits that there may well be doubts within the dressing room given how things have gone so far under Amorim.

"We always talk about giving managers time, but you can't keep losing football matches either," Keane said ahead of Sunday's big match against Arsenal on Sky Sports.
"And I can say that for most clubs, if you're losing week in week out, they'll be doubts in the dressing room. Players will be looking at the manager and thinking "What are you bringing to the party?'
"And when there's been literally no reaction after coming into the club, well that's a bit worrying. The standards of the club have been dropping for a number of years, and have they reached rock bottom? Maybe there's a bit to go yet..."
Ruben Amorim
Ruben Amorim has endured a challenging start to life at Old Trafford
United will climb above Everton and Tottenham to 13th if they can beat Arsenal, who need to win if they are to have any chance of chasing down Arne Slot's imperious Liverpool side.
Amorim had just five outfield substitutes on the bench in midweek for United's 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League. Victory in that tournament is likely to be United's only chance of qualifying for Europe next season, meaning next week's return leg at Old Trafford has taken on extra significance.
However, when Amorim was asked if he was thinking about who may need resting ahead of said game, he admitted that the current injury list means he is just focused on 'surviving' the weekend.
"We need to survive Sunday, he said in his press conference ahead of the Arsenal game. "The team was so tired in the last 20 minutes. We have to prepare Sunday and think about this important game for our season on Thursday. In this moment, I don't know."
