Man Utd starting line up to face Arsenal FC confirmed as Ruben Amorim issues team news update.
Manchester United have made two changes to their starting line up for the clash against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen both come in from the start, with Patrick Dorgu suspended and Rasmus Hojlund dropped to the bench.
Chido Obi is back in the squad after he was ineligible to feature in the Europa League during midweek, with academy graduates Harry Amass, Jack Fletcher and Jack Moorhouse also named on the bench. Ruben Amorim has once again elected to name two goalkeepers on the bench, with Elyh Harrison and Dermot Mee both in the squad.
Harry Maguire and Manuel Ugarte are both still missing from the match day squad after 'minor injury issues' saw them ruled out of the midweek draw with Real Sociedad in the Europa League. Diogo Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui are expected to deputise for the suspended Dorgu at left wing-back.
Why Rasmus Hojlund has been dropped vs Arsenal
It is now 19 matches without a goal for Rasmus Hojlund and he might not get the opportunity to either end or extend that unwanted record against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon. Manchester United need the Danish striker as fit as possible for their upcoming clash with Real Sociedad next week and that is the main reason why he is not starting this weekend.
Asked why Hojlund was not starting against Arsenal, Amorim told Sky Sports: "It is freshness. I think he was really fatigued in the end of the game and we try different things. We know that the opposition, the two centre-backs, what they want, what they like. We try to do different things to surprise the opponent."
Chido Obi might even be the most likely attacking option to feature from the bench against his former side, with the 17-year-old ineligible to feature in the Europa League second leg against Real Sociedad next week.
Manchester United XI vs Arsenal: Onana, Yoro, De Ligt, Mazraoui, Lindelof, Eriksen, Casemiro, Dalot, Fernandes, Garnacho, Zirkzee. Subs: Harrison, Mee, Amass, Collyer, Fletcher, Moorhouse, Obi, Hojlund.
