It was another afternoon that ended in disappointment for Leicester City.
The Foxes were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as Marc Cucurella’s second half strike was the difference between the two teams.
Mads Hermansen amazed former Leicester goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer after he put an end to Cole Palmer’s 100 per cent success rate when scoring from the penalty spot in the first half.
Wesley Fofana was also trolled by Leicester fans during the game after he burnt bridges with the Foxes in 2022 after a scathing interview.
There was still some highlights to talk about so, on that note, here are two winners and two losers from Leicester’s 12th defeat in 13 Premier League games.

Eyebrows were raised when Luke Thomas’ name appeared on the team sheet as part of a five-at-the-back formation, more so at the fact that he was playing at centre-back.
Ruud van Nistelrooy opted to deploy the Leicester academy graduate in an unusual position but he rose to the task brilliantly and didn’t look out of place.
Thomas impressed in the game against Aston Villa and did again against Chelsea, making seven clearances and four tackles across the 90 minutes.

The defender will have every right to feel he can stake a claim for another start against Manchester United next week.

There was a huge roar from the away end at Stamford Bridge as Ricardo Pereira took to the pitch for the first time in four months.
Pereira was injured against Manchester United in November and has been nursing the problem since then but his return comes at a crucial point of the season.
He didn’t have much time on the pitch but was able to get a shot away and now gives Van Nistelrooy another option at full back and in midfield.

Victor Kristiansen

It was a dreadful performance from the Denmark international and on a day where Thomas excelled, will be one Victor Kristiansen will want to forget.
Kristiansen was slammed for giving away a penalty before being bailed out by Hermansen in goal but looked uncomfortable throughout.
Going forward, the full-back does offer a bit more but his role as a defender is to defend for the majority of the time. It was evident that wasn’t happening.
Sofascore gave him the joint-lowest rating, alongside Patson Daka, handing him a 6.3 as he gave the ball away eight times. He could easily find himself out of the XI after that.
Leicester’s set pieces
There’s a lot to be said about how toothless Leicester are in attack, but a lot of it stems from how truly bad they are at set pieces.
Leicester mustered a measly three shots at Stamford Bridge, their lowest tally of the season and at one point went over 30 minutes without registering an attempt on goal.
That being said, the Foxes had plenty of free-kicks and corners but whether Bilal El Khannouss failed to beat the first man or a Chelsea player easily cleared away the ball, it was a pitiful attempt to pile some pressure on the home side.
