Geno Smith was shipped off by the Seattle Seahawks to the Raiders in exchange for a 2025 third-round draft pick, according to multiple reports.
Las Vegas picks up a veteran Pro Bowl QB after experiencing troubles under center for the past couple of seasons. Many analysts have suggested Sanders would be taken by the Raiders with the sixth overall pick, but they'll likely go a different route. It's all about positioning for the best possible landing spot for the Buffs QB.
The Raiders may still take Sanders to come in and learn from Smith, who has an outstanding relationship with the 23-year-old soon-to-be NFL rookie.
Smith and Sanders have spent time working out together in the past and would make up a great QB room. However, Sanders isn't going to 'warm the bench' and wants to start next season. In a scenario with the Raiders, Sanders would be backing up Smith.
This comes after a report from the NFL Combine, calling Sanders 'arrogant'. Most have disagreed and defended Shedeur's character, including his father, Deion Sanders, who had a detailed observation.
Coach Prime explained why he feels the media is 'hating' his son, and it's a ploy to for teams to draft him. The father and son duo recently discussed the NFL draft on Shedeur's 2Legendary podcast recently.
"Why are you the only kid they are hating on?" Sanders said. "Why are you the only kid in the draft, potential first picks or whatever pick, that they hate on? Why are you the only one?"

"Because you are Prime Time," replied Shedeur.
"No, it's because they want you to slide to their team. It's (all) games. But we know the game. We are Sanders, baby!" said Deion.

Sanders plays the waiting game from here until Big 12 Pro Day later this month. He won't be in Green Bay for the draft on April 24 and has opted to stay home to be around family and friends.
