The Premier League has announced the four teams that will be touring the United States for the 2025 Summer Series, and Everton will be in that group, going across the pond for the first time since the summer of 2022. The Toffees will be joined by Manchester United, West Ham and AFC Bournemouth.
Initial reports indicated that the Premier League had reached out to Liverpool and Arsenal as well, but both sides locked in a battle at the top of the table have chosen to go on more lucrative Asian tours instead.
The Summer Series will only begin after the Club World Cup ends on July 13, with the FIFA competition also being hosted in the US with Manchester City and Chelsea involved.
This year’s event will be the second edition of the pre-season tournament, with games expected in Atlanta, New Jersey and Chicago. Last year’s edition of the tournament was canceled after multiple issues around logistics and timing with both the Olympic Games in Paris and the Copa America also going on around the same time. The inaugural edition in 2023 involved Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham and Newcastle United with the Stamford Bridge side emerging victors.
