FA CUP DRAW: Semi-final draw throws up Manchester derby

Manchester City will play host to neighbours Manchester United in the semi-finals of this season’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

The draw for the final four took place just a short time ago and was streamed via the Adobe Women’s FA Cup’s official YouTube channel.

Mouthwatering semi-final ties were guaranteed and the most eye-catching match-up will see Manchester City play host to local rivals Manchester United. The Cityzens are this season’s Subway Women’s League Cup finalists while opponents Manchester United are the current Adobe Women’s FA Cup holders after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in last season’s final at Wembley Stadium.

The other semi-final tie sees tournament favourites Chelsea play host to the lowest-ranked remaining side, Liverpool. The Merseysiders caused a big upset in the quarter-finals. Dutch international goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar’s own goal handed The Reds a shock 1-0 victory over Arsenal at the Mangata Pay UK Stadium Meadow Park.

The two semi-final ties will be staged on the weekend of 12/13 April 2025. Final match dates, kick-off times and ticket details will be agreed in due course.

This season’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup final is scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 18 May 2025.
