Newcastle United do not have problems to seek ahead of a huge week for the club.
Indeed, Newcastle United travel down to West Ham on Monday night in dire need for a victory. Having slipped to eighth in the Premier League, Eddie Howe’s side must respond if they are to have any realistic hopes of reaching next season’s Champions League.
Sunday then brings the small matter of the Carabao Cup final at Wembley against Liverpool.
Though underdogs, a Newcastle performance as insipid as the one that saw them lose to Manchester United in the 2023 final will simply not be acceptable.
Anthony Gordon is suspended for the final, while Newcastle have an awful lot of injuries to deal with.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the latest Newcastle United injuries.

Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak came off during the FA Cup defeat to Brighton last week, although Howe confirmed it was down to fatigue more than anything.

Isak has been spotted in training before the West Ham game and Howe allayed any injury fears during Friday’s pre-match press conference.
“He’s fine,” he said.
“On Sunday he was just feeling a bit fatigued and tightness so we withdrew him. He has trained every day this week.”
Potential return date: Monday 10 March 2025 vs West Ham
Kieran Trippier
Kieran Trippier also took a knock during the Brighton game. Howe confirmed Trippier “felt his back”, offering yet another concern for the Newcastle United manager.
Still, Trippier has been spotted in training, which would suggest he’s in line to feature this week.

Tino Livramento
Tino Livramento was another casualty during the Brighton defeat, albeit he lasted the full game.
Howe revealed Livramento was suffering from cramp towards the end of the contest but suggested the problem was not serious during Friday’s pre-match press conference.
“We’ve still got two more training sessions before Monday night’s game – at the moment that would be enough,” revealed Howe.
“Fingers crossed we can keep everyone else fit.”

Sven Botman
Sven Botman has endured a nightmare two seasons on the injury front. A serious knee issue ended last year’s campaign early for the Dutchman, who returned from knee surgery earlier this year.
However, Botman now requires surgery on a separate knee problem and is reportedly expected to miss eight weeks.
Potential return date: May 2025
Jamaal Lascelles
Fellow defender Jamaal Lascelles also underwent surgery on an ACL injury in 2024. Unlike Botman, he is yet to return to action.
Still, Howe hopes Lascelles will make his comeback soon, with the club captain “back out on the grass”.
Potential return date: Unknown
Lewis Hall
Lewis Hall has been on the stars of Newcastle’s season but was recently dealt a cruel blow.
Newcastle have confirmed Hall’s season is over due to an ankle injury sustained against Liverpool last month.
Potential return date: Pre-season 2025
