Four-year veteran linebacker Nick Bolton has signed a new contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. Bolton, a former second-round pick and two-time Super Bowl champion, spent the entirety of his career with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Nick Bolton, Kansas City Chiefs, Agree to Contract
The Kansas City Chiefs had one of the league’s better defenses in 2024, and Bolton played a large role in the unit’s success. Starting and appearing in 16 games, the veteran finished the season with one interception, three sacks, 106 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and seven quarterback hits. With his help, the Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season but lost to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nick Bolton originally entered the league as a second-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Selected by the Kansas City Chiefs, the Missouri product immediately made an impact for the defense. Appearing in 16 games while making 12 starts, the rookie finished his inaugural campaign with three passes defended, 112 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and three quarterback hits. Kansas City made it to the AFC Championship Game but narrowly lost to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Bolton built on this promising campaign by posting the best season of his career in 2022. Elevating his play, the second-year pro started all 17 games while recording two interceptions, three passes defended, two sacks, 180 tackles, nine tackles-for-loss, and six quarterback hits. With his help, the Chiefs returned to the Super Bowl and defeated the Philadelphia Eagles.
Injuries limited Bolton to eight games in 2023, but the Missouri product still made an impact when on the field. During his truncated season, the veteran recorded one interception, three passes defended, 60 tackles, one tackle-for-loss, and one quarterback hit. Once again, the Chiefs won the Super Bowl, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in an overtime thriller.
Since signing his rookie contract, Nick Bolton has appeared in 57 games while making 53 starts. While on the field, the former second-round pick has recorded five sacks, 458 tackles, 32 tackles-for-loss, and 17 quarterback hits.
