Bills Linked to Huge Move for $22.5 Million Star Free Agent

The Buffalo Bills were so close to making the Super Bowl in 2024. They came up just short in the AFC championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

In recent years, the Bills have continually been one of the top contenders in the AFC. When the games mean the most in the playoffs, they simply have not been able to get the job done.

With that in mind, Buffalo is widely viewed as a team who could get very aggressive during the NFL offseason.

Looking at the roster, the Bills have a few different needs. One of those needs will be to add more pass rushing talent.

An intriguing name has been suggested as a potential fit for Buffalo this offseason.

CBS Sports analyst Tyler Sullivan has named Khalil Mack as a potential target for Buffalo. Signing Mack would be the kind of win-now move that the Bills need to target.

"Buffalo was able to apply pressure onto the quarterback last season but was pedestrian at accumulating sacks. The defense overall was also abysmal on third down, so injecting Mack into the club could help boost that inefficiency," Sullivan wrote.

He also noted that Mack has a previous connection to Buffalo.

"Mack also has ties to the area after playing his college ball at the University of Buffalo, so this could be a homecoming of sorts as he links up with a Super Bowl contender."

Mack is coming off of a down season in 2024. He totaled 39 tackles, six sacks, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, and nine defended passes in 16 games.

Back in 2023, however, Mack dominated. In 17 games, he racked up 74 tackles, 17 sacks, five forced fumbles, and 10 defended passes.

The Bills are going to be a serious contender to watch as a potential landing spot for Mack.
