The [Utah Jazz](https://www.slcdunk.com) (15-48) are continuing their east coast roadtrip with a stop in Philadelphia to take on the [76ers](https://www.libertyballers.com) (21-41).
For both these teams, the injury report tonight is immense. The Jazz, who now sit with the second-worst record in the NBA, have listed each of Jordan Clarkson, John Collins, Elijah Harkless, Taylor Hendricks, Walker Kessler, Lauri Markkanen, and Collin Sexton as out tonight. Jaden Springer and Oscar Tshiebwe are both listed as questionable.
The 76ers, on the other hand, are missing Jared McCain, Eric Gordon, Paul George, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Kyle Lowry. Both teams, despite different goals at the start of the season, find themselves knee-deep in the tank race. The Jazz, looking for their next cornerstone player, and the 76ers looking to retain their draft pick and find a way out of the hole they’ve entered.
The 76ers display pathways for Utah’s future, both good and bad. After their extreme efforts at tanking, in which they landed multiple top-three picks, the organization entered a near decade-long window of contention. On top of that, they have drafted well on the fringes, picking up both Tyrese Maxey and Jared McCain with mid-round picks. Despite all of this, the team has nothing to show for it, with injuries, poor veteran signings, and locker room issues keeping them from meaningful winning. The Jazz are extremely early in that cycle, still hoping to find a top player in the draft. Nonetheless, the 76ers have shown that pure talent doesn’t necessarily lead to anything.
