Rayo Vallecano have made their asking price known for star defender and rumoured Barcelona transfer target Andrei Rațiu.
Rațiu’s name has of course proven a prominent one in the transfer headlines across Spain for some time now.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that the Romanian international has been identified as a potential addition on the part of Barcelona for next season.
The Blaugrana are on the lookout for reinforcements at right-back ahead of the summer, eager to provide backing for and competition to first-choice Jules Koundé.
And Rațiu, in the midst of a stellar season with Rayo Vallecano to date, is considered the ideal profile of player.
All of a Barca persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be interested to hear of the defender’s price-tag, this weekend, being made public knowledge.
Speaking during an interview with Radio MARCA, as cited by **[Diario Sport](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/rayo-pide-clausula-integra-ratiu-115091724)**, Rayo sporting director David Cobeño was asked for an insight into the club’s demands for Rațiu.
And Cobeño went on to confirm that Rayo’s intention is to demand the full €25 million release clause included in his contract:
“Andrei is a 50/50 player of ours, if someone wants to ask us about him we can talk, but we will ask for the clause. It’s his first season in the elite on a continuous basis and we want him to stay with us. He is a fundamental pillar so that next year the team can continue to grow in the championship.”
