Everton only made one addition in the winter transfer window.
The Toffees kept their powder dry in January, with Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo the only new arrival at Goodison Park.
Everton had to operate under strict PSR regulations and so, they decided to save their cash for the summer window.
The Friedkin Group are set to back David Moyes with a substantial budget ahead of the stadium move to Bramley Moore-Dock.
And with that said, it seems club chiefs are already making plans for what’s expected to be a really busy 12 weeks, as they’re now being linked with a talented midfielder on the continent.

MORE EVERTON STORIES
As such, Antwerp are hoping to break their record sale this summer, with a £13m price tag mooted.
Indeed, with Everton’s new cash-rich ownership, that is a very feasible deal for the club.
Doumbia wants regular playing time
The report further adds that Juve are confident of landing Doumbia’s signature, however, he wants to ensure his next club offer him regular game time.
The ‘exceptional’ youngster will only leave Belgium if he’s guaranteed minutes, so perhaps Everton may be better placed to sign him over the Serie A giants.
With Idrissa Gueye out of contract in the summer, Doumbia could be the ideal successor to the veteran ball winner.
