Midfielder Christian Eriksen believes Manchester United should have taken all three points from their clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.
After taking the lead just before half-time through a fantastic free-kick from Bruno Fernandes, United were pegged back with just over 15 minutes remaining when Declan Rice swept home a fine effort.
However, United had chances to reclaim the lead in the closing stages. Rasmus Hojlund squandered two opportunities to end his goal drought before Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya made a double save to deny Fernandes in injury time, clawing an effort off the line.
United were second-best in the first half, offering almost nothing in an attacking sense after setting up in a very low block to try and restrict the visitors. However, Eriksen, who bagged a rare start, insisted that was all part of the plan.
"Arsenal are a good team coming here," Eriksen told MUTV. "With the position we are in, we need to get the points we can and playing in the low block was the plan today.
"We tried to do it as good as possible, and with the few chances we had, we could have nicked it - and we should have."
Despite being flat in the first half, United were much better after the break and would have gone into a 2-0 lead had Raya not produced a stunning stop to deny Noussair Mazraoui.
They registered eight second half shots, five of which were on target, as they chalked up an expected goals (xG) of 1.55.
Eriksen added: "We are getting chances, we just need to be putting them away. But today, Raya had a very good game, which kept them in the game."
