From 10 to 14 March, High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas will travel to the US and Canada where she will address the United Nations Security Council in New York and the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting organised by the Canadian presidency in Charlevoix, Québec.
On 11 March at 10:00 (EST), High Representative Kallas will make her first address to the UN Security Council on cooperation between the European Union and the United Nations, under the rotating presidency of the Security Council of Denmark. After the session, she will deliver press remarks. During her visit, she will meet with UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
On 12-14 March, High Representative Kallas will attend the G7 Foreign Ministers meeting in Charlevoix, Quebec. The discussions will focus on the situation in the Middle East, ongoing support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression, stability in the Indo-Pacific region, the ongoing crises in Haiti and Venezuela and peace and security challenges in Africa.
