Enzo Maresca would have been happy after the full-time whistle in Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Leicester City.
His side were not at their best, but they took away all three points to climb back to fourth in the Premier League table. That is the most important thing.
However, there was one moment during the game where Maresca was not exactly calm, something that the fourth official saw first-hand.
Maresca has Marc Cucurella to thank for Chelsea‘s latest win, with the left-back scoring the only goal of the game. Cucurella put in a top display overall and continues to impress in his inverted full-back role.

Enzo Maresca wanted another penalty in Chelsea’s win over Leicester
Chelsea were awarded a penalty in the first half of their Premier League tie, which Cole Palmer missed.
Paul Merson called for Palmer to start in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Copenhagen in the Conference League midweek and he did, but the attacking midfielder failed to end his goal drought.
It was the same story against Leicester after he missed his spot-kick, but thankfully, Chelsea were not made to pay for it.

Later in the game, Maresca wanted another penalty and was seen screaming at the fourth official by journalist Bobby Vincent as he looked for one.
The Chelsea manager felt that Leicester defender Conor Coady handled the ball, but neither the referee of the VAR agreed with him.
At one point during the match, Maresca had an interaction with some Chelsea fans, calling for them to show more support to the team.

Enzo Maresca’s position at Chelsea
Chelsea have a great chance of finishing in the Champions League places this season. They are currently fourth and are only four points behind fourth-placed Nottingham Forest.
Fifth place could even be enough to qualify for Europe’s elite competition next term.
If they do not make it there, this season will undoubtedly go down as a failure, and some Chelsea fans will feel that Maresca’s position should come into question. However, it does not look like that will happen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Maresca is currently “untouchable” at Chelsea, which is good news for the Italian.
